Panel and service upgrades, rewiring, EV charging, generator transfer and the code corrections that turn up in a four-point insurance inspection.

Two things drive most residential electrical work in South Florida: houses built before the current code, and insurance carriers that will not renew until the panel is corrected. Both are fixable in a day or two. We hold a certified electrical contractor license, so this is our own crew and our own permit, not a sub.

What we do

  • Service and panel upgrades

Replacing obsolete or recalled panels, upgrading to a 200-amp service, correcting grounding and bonding, and adding whole-home surge protection. This is the single most common reason an insurer asks for work before renewal.

  • Rewiring and branch circuit repair

Aluminum branch wiring remediation, cloth-insulated conductor replacement, adding dedicated circuits for kitchens, laundry and air handlers, and correcting the shared neutrals older homes are full of.

  • EV charging

Level 2 charger installation with a dedicated circuit sized to the vehicle, load calculation on the existing service, and a disconnect where the garage layout requires it.

  • Generator and transfer

Interlock kits and transfer switches so a portable or standby generator can feed the panel safely during an outage, wired to code instead of through an extension cord.

  • Lighting, fans and exterior

Recessed and cabinet lighting, ceiling fan circuits, landscape and soffit lighting, dock and pool equipment circuits with the GFCI protection the code requires near water.

  • Inspection corrections

You send us the four-point or wind mitigation report, we quote the electrical items line by line, correct them and provide the documentation your carrier asked for.

When electrical work belongs with the roof

If you are re-roofing, that is the moment to deal with the service mast, the mast head boot and any attic wiring that is buried under insulation. Access is already open, the permit is already active, and the flashing around the mast is being replaced anyway. Doing it later means opening a roof you just paid to close.

FAQ

Electrical

My insurer says my panel has to be replaced. Is that normal?
It is very common in South Florida. Carriers frequently refuse to renew until an obsolete or recalled panel is replaced and the service is brought current. Send us the inspection report and we will quote the electrical items line by line and provide the documentation the carrier needs afterwards.
How long does a panel or service upgrade take?
Most residential panel replacements are a one-day job, with a planned power interruption during the changeover and the utility disconnect and reconnect scheduled around it. Larger service upgrades that involve a new mast or meter can add a day.
Can you install an EV charger?
Yes. We run a dedicated circuit sized to your vehicle and charger, perform a load calculation to confirm the existing service can carry it, and add a disconnect where the layout requires one. If the service cannot carry it, we will tell you what the upgrade costs before you buy the charger.
Can you wire a generator so I can use it during an outage?
Yes, with an interlock kit or a transfer switch so the generator feeds the panel without backfeeding the utility line. Feeding a house through an extension cord or a suicide cord is both a fire risk and a serious hazard to line workers.
Do I need a permit for electrical work?
For panel changes, service upgrades, new circuits and rewiring, yes. Swapping a fixture or a device usually does not need one. We tell you which category your job falls into and pull the permit when it does.

  • I recently had my roof replaced by Qualitech Home Services, and I couldn't be more impressed! From start to finish, their team was professional, efficient, and highly skilled. The installation was flawless, and the quality of workmanship truly exceeded my expectations. What stood out even more was their financing program, hands down one of the best I've come across. • Qualitech was the best company I reached out to. They are quick, efficient, and reliable. Their prices are great, and they're very honest about their work. Another great thing is the free quote they offer. My husband and I couldn't be happier with our new roof and will definitely use them again in the future.
